Opportunities

There are a variety of Teamster scholarship opportunities available below for dependents of Teamsters. Don’t let your student miss out!

Each opportunity listed below operates separately from application to award, so please be mindful of the various guidelines including eligibility, important dates and application details.

Teamsters Scholarship Fund

The International Brotherhood of Teamsters Scholarship Fund will provide 600 $2,000 scholarships to graduating seniors of the Class of 2026. These awards are merit-based. To qualify, applicants must be a son, daughter or dependent of a Teamster member in good standing, which is defined in Article X, Section 5 of the International Constitution. April 1st deadline.

Teamsters Local Union 305 Scholarship

The Local 305 Scholarship is offered to graduating seniors who are children or dependent stepchildren of active, retired, disabled, or deceased members of Local 305. This is a $500 award which is renewed annually, contingent on the applicant’s continued eligibility. Two students will be awarded each year. Applications open in November and are due on March 1. Please apply online at oregonstudentaid.gov. March 1st deadline.

James R. Hoffa Memorial Scholarship

The James R. Hoffa Memorial Scholarship Fund is available for the sons, daughters and financial dependents of Teamster members. Academic scholarships range from: $1,000 to $10,000 for high school seniors planning to attend a four-year college or university and; Training/Vocational program awards of up to $2,000 for use at community colleges and trade schools. The children or financial dependents of full-time local union officers or full-time staff of local unions are ineligible. Joint Council #37 All Charities Fund
