Lead Union Representative
Tom Strickland


Tom Strickland became a Teamster in 1973. At the age of 19, he started working under the National Master Freight Agreement with Teamsters Local 81 as a dockworker and later at the age of 21  became a city local pickup and delivery driver.  Later on in his career, he also became both a double trailer and triple trailer, qualified working as a road driver.  Throughout his career, he served as an executive board member of Local 81 and in 1999 he became a Business Representative of Local 81.  In 2006 Tom Strickland became the Secretary-Treasurer of Local 81.  He served on the Joint Council of Teamsters No. 37 Executive Board in the capacities of Recording Secretary, Trustee and Vice President.  He also has served on both the National Master Freight Contract Negotiations committee, and the TForce National Master Freight Agreement Negotiations committee along with the quarterly JWAC Hearing committee.  

With the "Government Deregulation of the Freight Industry" leading to the overall demise of many freight companies, Local 81 merged its membership with Local 305.  Tom Strickland has remained as a Union Representative looking forward to helping Local 305 members and always lived by his oath of office " I will protect the members' interest in all dealings with the employers.  I will  never forget that it is the members who put me here, and it is the members whom I will serve ".

Rob Hughes


I have been a Teamster since 1996, when I started at Peco Manufacturing and became a Shop Steward in 2002.  I was the Shop Steward there until 2017 when I resigned to become a Union Representative for Local 305.  I served as the Vice President on the Executive Board from 2014 to 2017.  I currently represent 10 different units, ranging from the Automotive Industry, Ground Keepers, at Lewis & Clark College and Reed College, Mechanics/ Maintenance and Manufacturing Industries, as well as the Movie and Theatrical Division.

Terry Nile


Terry Nile is a Union Representative at Local 305. Terry is a 28-year Teamster who worked for Distribution Trucking Company (Fred Meyer) for 23 years, served as a long-time Shop Steward and was a Class A driver. His representational duties focused on the grocery and dairy industries.

Terry earned his BA in Political Science with a minor in Anthropology from Washington State, and a Juris Doctorate from Lewis and Clark Law School.

Alan Rueschenberg


Union Representative Alan Rueschenberg has been a Teamster for over 30 years. He started his Teamster career at the age of 19 at the Portland Albertsons Distribution Center. Alan worked there for 26 years, in a variety of roles there, including being a Shop Steward and for many years on the negotiating committee.

As of 2020, he has held a Union Representative position for Teamsters Local 305. He currently represents Albertsons and many other Warehouses in the Portland metro area as well as the Food Processing and Materials Industry.

Jeannie Trapold


Jeannie Trapold has been our Contract Administrator and Website Administrator for Local 305 since the beginning of 2023. She previously worked as the Office Manager / Editor for the Teamsters Joint Council 37. 

Prior to that, Jeannie had over 25 years of union experience as a shop steward, organizer and union representative during her time working at United Food and Commercial Workers Union.  She is now the Union Representative for the Movie People, American Airlines counter and gate employees, Avis Budget Group, Hertz, and SP+.

Scot Dodgion


Scot Dodgion is a 3rd generation Teamster and has been a Teamster himself for over 20 years as a driver with Locals 162 & Local 305. Most recently, Scot was a member of Local 305 as a transport driver with Franz Bakery since 2012, and Shop Steward since 2016.

He has served on the Executive Board of Local 305 since February of 2022 and is currently a full-time Business Agent for Teamsters Local 305 serving the Bakery, Laundry, Food Service, Truck Maintenance and Tanker Drivers. Scot is looking forward to serving the members of Local 305.

Mark Carr


Mark Carr has been a teamster since 1994, he began his career at Parr Lumber as a forklift operator/truck driver. He held the role of shop steward for a couple of years and participated in contract negotiations for several contracts. Mark spent 8-years working for Lumber Products as a truck driver.

In 2011 he went to work for Pride Disposal where he learned how to operate all types of trucks in the garbage industry and served as shop steward. Currently Mark is a Union Representative for Teamsters Local 305, representing all the members in the solid waste industry.
